Partnerships
Collaborative Effort
Sentinel landscapes are partnerships. Each landscape has a coalition of government agencies and non-governmental organizations that work with landowners to advance mutually beneficial land-use goals.
The WTSL enables enhanced collaboration among partners to develop and implement projects for greater impact. This coalition delivers expertise and enables consideration of the unique geography, economic drivers, cultural heritage, and natural resource challenges within the western traverse landscape.
Our Partners
Sentinel landscapes are anchored by at least one high-value military installation or range and ours is Camp Williams. The Utah National Guard leads the efforts of the WTSL, acts as committee chair, and liaison between local partners and federal and state agencies.

Local elected officials and municipalities play a key role in developing strategic plans that will guarantee public access to open space, protect wildlife corridors, create positive long-term economic impacts, and preserve Camp Williams’ training mission. (Herriman, Bluffdale, Lehi, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, and Cedar Fort)
Our non-profit, State of Utah, and federal partners provide expertise, project administration, and commit resources to enable conservation efforts, rehabilitation projects, and ensure monitoring for potential impacts.
